Why we're backing the e-Luminate Cambridge festival

e-Luminate is a modern arts festival which transforms Cambridge’s iconic buildings and public spaces through a range of stunning light installations, family activities, talks and concerts.
Taking place over six evenings, the event brings together cutting edge innovation from Cambridge tech companies with works from local artists, showing how light can be used efficiently and creatively, in installations that show our historic city in a new light.
The e-Luminate team have worked hard over three years to establish the festival as a fixture in the Cambridge calendar, showcasing the richness and diversity of a city which is at the forefront of technology and research.
This intersection of creativity and technology has a lot of parallels with our own approach as a company too.
We work with a delightfully varied mix of clients in the Cambridge cluster and beyond - from tech startup OpenIOlabs, ophthalmic screening specialists Elektron Healthcare and the University, to InsightAsia, Government Digital Services, Jones Lang LaSalle, Drinkaware, Toshiba and more.
We also take a creative approach to content, always asking ourselves, "How can we present this so people will want to read, comment and share?" And thinking through what will really strike a chord with the audience - will they like clever copy, a chatty blog post, an infographic or a video? What best practice examples and fun activities can we incorporate into our training to make sure the information really goes in? How can we create content strategies that are ambitious yet realistic?
We also continually evaluate the tools we use. Which reporting tools are right? What templates can we create that streamline our processes? What tips and tricks can we pick up that we can pass on to ensure the long-term success of this project? It's about always thinking creatively, spotting opportunities and understanding the very individual needs of our clients.
