Why use an events marketing agency?

You’re a successful events marketer, used to running conferences, meetups and product launches that go without a hitch. But now you find yourself running webinars over Zoom. Livestreaming workshops. Hosting virtual events that reach audiences in every corner of the globe.

As your digital partner, we’ll help you prepare for the event, promote it in advance, and make the most of your content so it lives on beyond the day itself.

You’ll continue to manage the logistics like booking the venue, arranging catering, hiring staff, while we support you through expert digital marketing and virtual events support.

How does events marketing support work?

1. Events marketing strategy: The essential starting point! Let’s map out the objectives, challenges, content plan and timeline of activity on the different channels.

2. Social media campaigns: Highly targeted paid campaigns coupled with attention-grabbing content for social media. Get bums on seats - and keep people engaged with live updates from the event.

3. Email marketing: From design, through copy and planning, we'll take care of the extra newsletters to promote the event to your existing audience.

4. Coaching: Speaker workshops to get guests and hosts ready for the spotlight.

5. Video production: Give your audience a taste of what's to come with an event teaser and pre-recorded event segments, then publish edited highlights on YouTube.

6. The big day: Reassuring virtual events support - from co-hosting to running polls and Q&A.

You’ll be working closely with our Head of Production Matt Harris. Your calm, creative and reassuring technical expert who’ll make sure you look great on camera, feel confident on the day, and have brilliant content to share on your website and social media channels.

What do we know about events marketing?

Our team’s experience in events goes back decades, from Director Sue Keogh’s time as a specialist music producer for BBC Radio 2. Working on folk festivals, live specials from Rio and New Orleans, and covering awards ceremonies live from the red carpet in Nashville.

Live events have always been important to us as a company. Big-brand masterclasses with B&Q, ASOS and Buzzfeed. Our week of remote work experience, Sookio Bootcamp (above). Helping run CamCreatives, Creative Ely and TEDxGranta.

We also speak at events regularly ourselves, sharing our digital marketing expertise in webinars for Cambridge Wireless, Cambridge Network and the University of Cambridge.

We have so much experience we built a course on it!

Case study: Cambridge Trust

Each year, Cambridge Trust welcomes hundreds of students to the University of Cambridge. In 2020 their New Scholars Welcome event suddenly had to take a virtual format.

What was the challenge?

  • make students feel welcome and connected

  • prepare the staff for virtual hosting

  • ensure there were no tech problems

  • immortalise this unique event for students and staff to look back on.

How did we help?

  • Training: Coaching in presenting on camera

  • Consultancy: Regular check-ins, prep support and advice

  • Support on the day: We were on hand to reassure the team

  • Video production: Pre-recorded segments played in live, creating evergreen content

“The event was an absolute success!” Claire Lambert, Communications Manager at Cambridge Trust.

“This was my first to be hosted virtually, and I was a little daunted by the prospect, particularly with regard to the technical aspects.

Matt was brilliant, both in supporting the event technically, which took the pressure off me on the day in terms of IT glitches, and in his patience and creative input.

I really enjoyed our many creative sessions when we explored ideas for the event, and I was especially grateful for the coaching workshop beforehand. It not only helped our delivery in presentation, but it gave them confidence about the task.”
